July 11, 2026

There was a much larger number of us this month as several of our travelers returned from their trips, both abroad and in our own continent. Our busy group hid away on the outdoor deck, everyone leaning in to catch all the news buzzing around. Tales of wonderful travels were appreciated by one and all. It seems returning to idyllic foreign places was a constant theme.

We spent precious time, though, talking about our book, The Keeper by Tana French. This was the 3rd book in her series about Cal Hooper's life as a transplanted Chicago cop in rural Ireland. Though we had enjoyed the book, I'll admit the conversations were more of a personal nature than our reading this month.

We may give next month's selection, Yesteryear, a better discussion this coming month.
